Origin developed the name Inscalis for BASF, a new active ingredient for old pest problems.
Inscalis insecticide is a foliar-applied active ingredient that provides a unique mode of action for the control of aphids, whiteflies and certain psyllids in specific specialty and row crops. This mode of action powers three products: Sefina™ Inscalis insecticide, Versys™ Inscalis insecticide and Ventrigra™ Inscalis insecticide.
Both Sefina and Versys insecticides exhibit low toxicity to non-target organisms, such as bees and other beneficial insects, allowing farmers to have a more flexible application timing.
As insecticides with a strong residual profile both Sefina, Versys and Ventigra can be easily integrated into current insect control programs.
The name Versys, derived from ‘versatile’ and ‘system’, is short, punchy and powerful with a clear message. Sefina, derived from ‘select’ and ‘fine/finesse’, has a softer, gentler tonality that re-enforces a new/modern approach to pest control.
